100 hours 7-day intensive Pre-conception, Pregnancy and post-natal Yoga Teacher Training course. This course is open to already qualified 200hour teacher or midwives or other related health professionals.

About the event

Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training course schedule: 80hrs Yoga Alliance certified. Schedule (please note always flexible):

Day 1 (Monday) Topic: Pre-conception Includes cleansing techniques, dietary advice, lifestyle choices, yama and niyama. 11am arrival and introductions 11:15am hatha yoga for healthy pre-conception (aruna surya namaskar and loma viloma series to balance body and mind) kaya kriya and relaxation (loma-viloma visualization). 1pm: Lunch break 2pm - session with Jnandev on yogic cleansing, preparation for conception 3pm – 5pm Physiotherapist (Caroline) Presentation, anatomy of the Pelvis Pranayama 5pm – 6pm mantras vibrational healing for you and baby to come and kaya kriya relaxation, pranayama (savitri rythym) and yoga nidra (jnana yoga kriya) Moksha kriya 6:30pm close for the day

Day 2 (Tuesday) Topic: Early Pregnancy 9:00am Hatha Yoga sequence for early pregnancy, sukkah rythym 10:30am Anatomy and physiology/stages in Pregnancy and general concerns presentation with midwife Sian 1pm lunch break 2pm: singing and chanting learning some simple chants and bhajans 3pm Pranayama - Pranava AUM with mudras and sounds 4- 5:30pm session with Jnandev on vedic / yogic thought on pregnancy 6:30 – 7:30 ‘live’ Pregnancy Yoga class/observation

Day 3 (Weds) Topic Late Pregnancy 9:30am Hatha Yoga for late pregnancy, marmanastanam kriya 12pm – Pramayama session ‘ the birthing breath’ 1pm lunch break 2pm - Pranayama, savitri rythym and Brahma mudra 4pm Satsang, understanding yoga in context of dealing with mental and emotional changes during pregnancy with Jnandev 5pm close

Day 4 (Thurs) 9:30 am Hatha Yoga early pregnancy reviewed 10:30 – 11:30am ‘live’ postnatal mother and baby Yoga class 12:30pm lunch break 2pm: Presentation with Breastfeeding counselor and Yoga Teacher (Sasha) 3pm: yoga therapy and partner yoga- a helpful hand during pregnancy 4pm: Health and safety and modification of yoga tools for individuals and teaching skills. 6:30pm – possible additional ‘live’ partner pregnancy yoga session (depends upon availability of students – otherwise we can practice with each other earlier)

Day 5 (Friday) 9:00am hatha yoga for late pregnancy reviewed 10:30am Pranayama, Brahmari/Bramahra 1pm lunch break 2pm: chair pregnancy yoga session 4pm: planning to Teach Pregnancy Yoga class- lesson plans, self-assessments 5pm close

Day-6 (Saturday) Topic: Post Natal Yoga 9am: post natal yoga session 10am: students teach mock classes 1pm lunch break 2pm: Pranayama, Surya and Chandra nadi, Alternate nostil breathing 3pm – Pregnancy Yoga Teacher’s responsibilities, expectations, skills and abilities, knowledge base, questions and answers session. 4pm –post-natal sequence 5:30 close

Day 7 (Sunday) 9am: post natal sequence review 10:30am – 12:30: Hypno-birthing techniques presentation (Heather) 1pm lunch (optional if you would like to stay please let us know)

Students certified after completing: • 1 x case study • 3 x lesson plans with written feedback from students

Costs:

£850 including all food and accommodation (please bring your own duvet/sleeping bag)
